Please read these terms carefully before using the Nanny Jobs platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Nanny Jobs platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Eligibility

To use our Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Not have been previously banned from the platform.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

There are two primary account types:

  • Parent Accounts: For families seeking childcare services.
  • Nanny Accounts: For childcare professionals offering their services.

4. Direct Matching & Subscriptions

  • Nanny Jobs is a direct-matching platform. Parents and caregivers connect directly and negotiate their own terms, schedules, and arrangements.
  • Access to caregiver and employer contact details is subscription-based. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled or paused by the user.

5. Subscription Plans

We offer subscription plans (General, Exclusive) with varying features. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. You may cancel or change your plan at any time from your account settings. Subscribed annual users have the ability to pause their active tier.

  • Refunds for subscription fees are handled on a case-by-case basis.
  • We reserve the right to modify plan pricing with 30 days' notice.
  • Promotional coupons and discounts are subject to their specific terms.

6. Nanny Profiles & Vetting

Nanny profiles are created by individual caregivers. Nanny Jobs acts as a marketplace and does not employ caregivers directly. While we require caregivers to complete detailed profiles, we do not verify background checks, and parents are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence, including background checks, interviews, and reference checks, before hiring.

7. Reviews & Ratings

  • Users may leave reviews and ratings after engaging or interacting with caregivers or parents.
  • Reviews must be honest, factual, and not contain abusive, discriminatory, or defamatory content.
  • We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our guidelines.
  • Manipulating ratings through fake reviews or incentivized feedback is strictly prohibited.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Provide false or misleading information in your profile.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
  • Attempt to violate security systems or extract database details.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, access, or manipulate the platform.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.

9. Platform Safety & Reporting

If a dispute or safety concern arises regarding another user, you may report the profile to our support team. We reserve the right to ban or suspend any user accounts that violate our community standards or behave in an unprofessional manner.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nanny Jobs provides a platform connecting families and childcare professionals. We are not a party to any agreement between parents and nannies. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nanny Jobs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Service, including but not limited to damages resulting from interactions between users.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Nanny Jobs platform, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of Nanny Jobs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable Canadian laws. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
